It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Madinah Munawwarah, he stayed with me and said to me: O Abu Ayyub! Shall I teach you something? I said: Yes, of course, O Messenger of Allah! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever recites these words in the morning: LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAHU WAHDAHU LAA AREEKA LAHU, LAHUL-MULKU WA LAHUL-HAMDU, Allah writes ten good deeds for him, forgives ten of his sins, he receives the reward of freeing ten slaves in the sight of Allah, and he remains protected from Satan until the evening. And whoever recites these words in the evening will also receive the same virtue. Abu al-Ward says: I said to Abu Muhammad: Did you hear this hadith from Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him)? He said: By Allah! I heard Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) narrating this hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
