It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: We used to serve the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ourselves and would take turns to graze the camels. One day it was my turn. When I returned the camels in the evening, I found the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) standing and speaking to the people. I heard him say:“Whoever among you performs ablution and completes the ablution, then stands and offers two rak‘ahs in such a way that he turns his heart and face towards Allah, Paradise becomes obligatory for him and he is forgiven.”Hearing this, I said:“How excellent is this!”But someone in front of me said:“Uqbah! The statement that was said before this was even more excellent.”When I looked at that person, it was Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him). I said:“Abu Hafs! What was that statement?”He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said before you came:“Whoever among you performs ablution and completes the ablution, then recites this supplication: «أَشْہَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلٰہَ إِلَّا اللّٰہُ وَحْدَہُ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَہُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُہُ وَرَسُوْلُہُ» … (I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, He is alone, He has no partner, and Muhammad [peace and blessings be upon him] is His servant and Messenger). For such a person, all eight gates of Paradise are opened, and he may enter through whichever of them he wishes.”
