Abdur Rahman bin Sa’ib, who was the nephew of Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates that Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) said to him: O nephew! Shall I perform the prophetic incantation (ruqyah) for you as done by the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)? He said: Yes, please do. She performed the incantation in this way:“In the name of Allah, I perform ruqyah for you, and Allah will cure you from every illness within you. Remove the suffering, Lord of mankind, and grant healing, for You are the Healer; there is no healer except You.”
