Hadith Number: 7723
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I was ill, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to visit me for my care. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Shall I recite for you the ruqyah (spiritual healing) that Jibreel (peace be upon him) recited for me? I said: May my parents be sacrificed for you, why not, please do so. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this supplication: "In the name of Allah, I perform ruqyah for you. May Allah cure you from every illness that harms you, and from the evil of those who blow on knots, and from the evil of the envier when he envies." (With the name of Allah, I perform ruqyah for you. May Allah grant you healing from every disease that troubles you and that is within you, and I seek protection for you from the evil of those who blow on knots (practicing witchcraft), and from the evil of the envier when he envies.)
