Chapter on the Prohibition of Playing with Animals
Hadith Number: 7886
عن ابي ايوب الانصاري رضي الله عنه قال نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم عن صبر الدابة قال ابو ايوب لو كانت لي دجاجة ما صبرتها
Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade tying a living animal and using it as a target for shooting. Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) says: If I had a chicken, I would not tie it.
