Chapter on the Prohibition of Gambling and Playing with Dice and What Is Related to That
Hadith Number: 7887
عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم قال من حلف فقال في حلفه واللات فليقل لا إله إلا الله ومن قال لصاحبه تعال اقامرك فليتصدق بشيء
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever swears an oath and in his oath says, "By al-Lat," then he should say (to atone for this mistake): "La ilaha illallah" (There is no god but Allah), and whoever says to his companion, "Come, let us gamble," he should give some charity.
