Chapter on the Prohibition of Gambling and Playing with Dice and What Is Related to That
Hadith Number: 7888
عن ابي موسى رضي الله عنه قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم من لعب بالنرد وفي رواية بالكعاب فقد عصى الله ورسوله
Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever played with backgammon, and in another narration: Whoever played with the pieces of the backgammon game, has disobeyed Allah Almighty and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him).
