Hadith Number: 8996
عن معاوية بن جاهمة رضي الله عنه قال جاء رجل إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم فقال يا رسول الله اردت الغزو وجئتك استشيرك فقال هل لك من ام قال نعم فقال الزمها فإن الجنة عند رجلها ثم الثانية ثم الثالثة في مقاعد شتى كمثل هذا القول
Sayyiduna Muawiyah bin Jahimah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! I want to perform jihad with you and I have come to consult you. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Is your mother alive? He replied: Yes. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then stay with her, for Paradise is at her feet. The narrator then related this hadith in the same way in a second and third gathering.
