Hadith Number: 9011
(وعنها من طريق ثان) قالت قدمت علي امي في مدة قريش (وفي لفظ في عهد قريش ومدتهم التي كانت بينهم وبين رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) مشركة وهي راغبة يعني محتاجة فسالت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم فقلت يا رسول الله إن امي قدمت علي وهي مشركة راغبة افاصلها قال صلي امك {وصاحبهما في الدنيا معروفا} [لقمان: 15]
(Second chain) Sayyida Asma (may Allah be pleased with her) said: My mother came to me; this was during the period when there was a treaty between the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and the Quraysh. My mother was a polytheist and in need. I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! My mother has come to me, she is a polytheist and desires help, should I maintain ties of kinship with her? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Maintain ties of kinship with your mother.
