Explanation of the Etiquettes of Gatherings
باب ما جاء فى خير المجالس وشرها
Chapter on what has been narrated regarding the best and worst of gatherings
Hadith Number: 9491
عن ابي سعيد الخدري رضي الله عنه عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم قال إن المجالس ثلاثة سالم وغانم وشاجب
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Gatherings are of three types: one of safety, one of benefit, and one of idle and nonsensical talk.
