باب قول عمر في الجد
Chapter on Umar's statement regarding the grandfather
Hadith Number: 53
نا نا هشيم، عن ابي بشر، قال: نا سعيد بن جبير، قال: مات ابن ابن لعمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه، وترك جده عمر وإخوته، فارسل عمر إلى زيد بن ثابت، فجعل زيد يحسب، فقال له عمر:" شغب ما كنت مشغبا، فلعمري إني لاعلم اني احق به منهم" .
The grandson of Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away, and he left behind his grandfather Umar and his brother. So Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) called Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him). Zaid kept calculating, so Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Do not argue, by Allah! I know that I have more right to them."
تخریج الحدیث: « «انفرد به المصنف من هذا الطريق» ، وله شواهد من حديث زيد بن ثابت الأنصاري فأما حديث زيد بن ثابت الأنصاري أخرجه ابن أبى شيبة فى «مصنفه» برقم: 37071 والبيهقي فى «سننه الكبير» برقم: 1255»
