باب المرأة تزوج في عدتها
Chapter: A woman marrying during her waiting period ('iddah)
Hadith Number: 694
نا نا سفيان، عن إسماعيل بن ابي خالد، عن الشعبي، عن مسروق , في التي تزوجت في عدتها , قال: فرق عمر بينهما، وقال:" كان النكاح حراما فجعل الصداق حراما، فجعل الصداق في بيت المال" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Masruq (may Allah have mercy on him) that a woman who had married during her waiting period (‘iddah), Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) separated them and said:“This marriage was unlawful, therefore the dowry (mahr) is also unlawful.”And he deposited the dowry into the public treasury (Bayt al-Mal).
