Book of Marriage
باب الرجل يتزوج المرأة فيدخل عليها ومعها نساء فوقع على امرأة منهن
Chapter: A man marries a woman, enters upon her, and there are other women with her, and he has intercourse with one of them
Hadith Number: 1019
نا سفيان، عن ابن ابي نجيح، عن طاوس، قال: " إذا كان للرجل ابن، وكانت له امراة، ولها ابنة من غيره، وابنه من غيرها، فلا باس ان يتزوج الابن ابنة المراة إن كانت ولدت قبل ان يتزوجها الاب، وإن كان بعد كرهه" . ولم ير به مجاهد باسا قبل ولا بعد. قال ابو عثمان: القول ما قال مجاهد.
Hazrat Tawus (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "If a man has a wife and his wife's daughter, then if the daughter was born before her mother (became his wife), it is permissible for his son to marry her. If she was born after, then it is disliked." Hazrat Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) did not see any issue whether it was before or after. Hazrat Abu Uthman (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "The statement of Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) is reliable."
