Chapter on What is Disliked and Not Disliked – How to Place the Edge of the Garment on the Shoulder When Praying
Hadith Number: 2293
اخبرنا محمد بن عبد الرحمن ، قال: حدثنا محمد بن يحيى الذهلي ، قال: حدثنا سعيد بن عامر ، عن شعبة ، عن هشام بن عروة، عن ابيه ، عن عمر بن ابي سلمة " انه دخل على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فرآه يصلي في ثوب واحد قد خالف بين طرفيه" .
Sayyiduna Umar bin Abu Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: He came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and he saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performing prayer in a single garment, the edges of which he had thrown over his shoulders in opposite directions.
