فصل في قيام الليل - ذكر البيان بأن الصلاة في آخر الليل وجوفه أفضل من أوله
Section on night prayer – clarification that prayer at the end and middle of the night is better than at the beginning
Hadith Number: 2564
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان ، حدثنا حبان بن موسى ، حدثنا عبد الله ، اخبرنا عوف ، عن المهاجر ابي مخلد ، عن ابي العالية ، قال: حدثني ابو مسلم ، قال: سالت ابا ذر: اي قيام الليل افضل؟ قال ابو ذر : سالت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كما سالتني، فقال: " نصف الليل، او جوف الليل" شك عوف.
Abu Muslim narrates: I asked Sayyiduna Abu Dharr Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) which night prayer is the best, so Sayyiduna Abu Dharr Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) the same question that you have asked me, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "At the middle of the night, or perhaps in the middle part of the night." This doubt is from ‘Awf.
