Section on Women’s Travel - Warning against a woman traveling any distance without a mahram
Hadith Number: 2731
اخبرنا ابو يعلى ، قال: حدثنا ابو خيثمة ، قال: حدثنا سفيان ، قال: حدثنا عمرو بن دينار ، سمع ابا معبد ، سمع ابن عباس ، سمع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " لا يخلون رجل بامراة، ولا تسافر إلا ومعها ذو محرم" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: He heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) saying this: "Never be alone with (a non-mahram) woman, and a woman should not travel except when she is accompanied by her mahram (close male relative)."
