Section on the state of the dead in the grave – Indicating that people are questioned in their graves with their minds intact
Hadith Number: 3115
اخبرنا احمد بن علي بن المثنى ، قال: حدثنا احمد بن عيسى المصري ، قال: حدثنا ابن وهب ، قال: حدثني حيي بن عبد الله المعافري ، ان ابا عبد الرحمن الحبلي ، حدثه، عن عبد الله بن عمرو ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، ذكر فتاني القبر، فقال عمر بن الخطاب: اترد علينا عقولنا يا رسول الله؟ فقال:" نعم، كهيئتكم اليوم"، قال: فبفيه الحجر .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned the trial of the grave, so Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Will our intellects be returned to us? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes, just as you are today. So he said: There is a restriction on his mouth.
