Chapter on Etiquette of Sleep - Report Refuting Those Who Claim Abu Ishaq Did Not Hear This from Al-Bara'
Hadith Number: 5523
اخبرنا احمد بن علي بن المثنى ، قال: حدثنا عقبة بن مكرم ، قال: اخبرنا يونس بن بكير ، قال: حدثني يونس بن عمرو ، قال: قال ابي ، وحدثني البراء بن عازب ، عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، انه كان إذا اضطجع لينام، وضع يده اليمنى تحت خده الايمن، وقال: " اللهم قني عذابك، يوم تبعث عبادك" .
Sayyiduna Bara’ bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates about the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): When he would lie down to sleep, he would place his blessed right hand under his blessed right cheek and would recite this supplication:“O Allah! Save me from Your punishment on the Day when You will resurrect Your servants.”
