باب الصحبة والمجالسة - ذكر مغفرة الله جل وعلا لقائل ما وصفنا ما كان في ذلك المجلس من لغو
Chapter on Companionship and Sitting – Allah’s forgiveness for one who says what we described, for any idle talk in that gathering
Hadith Number: 594
اخبرنا المفضل بن محمد بن إبراهيم الجندي ، قال: حدثنا علي بن زياد اللحجي ، حدثنا ابو قرة ، عن ابن جريج ، عن موسى بن عقبة ، عن سهيل بن ابي صالح ، عن ابيه ، عن ابي هريرة ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، انه قال: " من جلس في مجلس كثر فيه لغطه، ثم قال قبل ان يقوم: سبحانك اللهم ربنا وبحمدك، لا إله إلا انت، استغفرك واتوب إليك، إلا غفر له ما كان في مجلسه ذلك" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever participates in a gathering where there is much idle talk, and before getting up from there recites: 'Glory is to You, O Allah! O our Lord! Praise is for You alone. There is no deity except You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance,' then whatever mistakes he made in that gathering will be forgiven."
