Chapter on Remembrance – On the race of frequent male and female rememberers of Allah to Paradise ahead of others
Hadith Number: 858
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان ، قال: حدثنا امية بن بسطام ، قال: حدثنا يزيد بن زريع ، قال: حدثنا روح بن القاسم ، عن العلاء ، عن ابيه ، عن ابي هريرة ، قال: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يسير في طريق مكة، فمر على جبل يقال له: جمدان، فقال: " سيروا هذا جمدان، سبق المفردون، سبق المفردون"، قالوا: يا رسول الله، ما المفردون؟ قال:" الذاكرون الله كثيرا والذاكرات" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was traveling on the road to Makkah. He passed by a mountain called "Jumdan." He said: "Move towards this Jumdan. The 'Mufarridun' have gone ahead." The people asked: "Who are they?" The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The men who remember Allah abundantly and the women who remember Allah abundantly."
