Chapter of Supplications - Description of the Prophet’s seeking forgiveness in the mentioned number
Hadith Number: 927
اخبرنا عبد الله بن محمد بن سلم ، ببيت المقدس، قال: حدثنا ابن ابي عمر العدني ، قال: حدثنا سفيان ، عن محمد بن سوقة ، عن نافع ، عن ابن عمر ، قال: ربما اعد لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في المجلس الواحد مائة مرة: " رب اغفر لي وتب علي، إنك انت التواب الرحيم" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I have sometimes noticed that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) would recite this one hundred times in a single gathering: "O Allah! Forgive me, accept my repentance, indeed You are the Acceptor of repentance, the Most Merciful."
