Issues of Buying and Selling
It is not permissible to sell goods without possession
Hadith Number: 501
287- وبه: ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ”من ابتاع طعاما فلا يبعه حتى يقبضه.“
And with the same chain of narration (from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both), it is narrated that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever buys food (grain, etc.), he should not sell it further until he has taken possession of it."
تخریج الحدیث: «287- الموطأ (رواية يحييٰي بن يحييٰي 640/2 ح 1373، ك 31 ب 19 ح 41) التمهيد 339/16، الاستذكار: 1293، و أخرجه النسائي (285/7 ح 4600) من حديث ابن القاسم عن مالك به ورواه البخاري (2133) ومسلم (526/37) وترقيم دارالسلام: 3845) من حديث عبداللٰه بن دينار به.»
قال الشيخ زبير على زئي:سنده صحيح
