Prayer (Tafarah Abwab As Sutrah)
باب ما يستر المصلي
Chapter: What May Be Used As A Sutrah By The Praying Person.
Hadith Number: 687
حدثنا الحسن بن علي، حدثنا ابن نمير، عن عبيد الله، عن نافع، عن ابن عمر،" ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان إذا خرج يوم العيد امر بالحربة فتوضع بين يديه فيصلي إليها والناس وراءه، وكان يفعل ذلك في السفر، فمن ثم اتخذها الامراء".
Ibn Umar said: When the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم would go out (for prayer) on the day ofEidd, he ordered to bring a lance, it was then setup in front of him and he would pray in its direction, and the people (stood) behind him. He used to do so during journey ; hence the rulers would take it (lance with them).

Hadith Number: 692
حدثنا عثمان بن ابي شيبة، ووهب بن بقية، وابن ابي خلف، وعبد الله بن سعيد، قال عثمان، حدثنا ابو خالد، حدثنا عبيد الله، عن نافع، عن ابن عمر،" ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يصلي إلى بعير".
Ibn Umar said: The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم used to pray facing his camel.

قال الشيخ زبير على زئي:صحيح بخاري (430) صحيح مسلم (502)
Hadith Number: 708
حدثنا مسدد، حدثنا عيسى بن يونس، حدثنا هشام بن الغاز، عن عمرو بن شعيب، عن ابيه، عن جده، قال:" هبطنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم من ثنية اذاخر فحضرت الصلاة يعني فصلى إلى جدار، فاتخذه قبلة ونحن خلفه، فجاءت بهمة تمر بين يديه فما زال يدارئها حتى لصق بطنه بالجدار ومرت من ورائه"، او كما قال مسدد.
Amr bin Shuaib reported from his father on the authority of his grand-father: We came down from the mountain pass of Adhaakhir in the company of the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم . The time of prayer came and he prayed facing a direction of prayer, and we were (standing) behind him. Then a kid came and passed in front of him. He kept on stopping it until he brought his stomach near the wall (to detain it), and at last it passed behind him, or as Musaddad said.
