باب مَا جَاءَ فِي خُرُوجِ النِّسَاءِ فِي الْحَرْبِ
Chapter: The ruling on women going to war.
Hadith Number: 1575
حدثنا بشر بن هلال الصواف، حدثنا جعفر بن سليمان الضبعي، عن ثابت، عن انس، قال: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " يغزو بام سليم ونسوة معها من الانصار، يسقين الماء، ويداوين الجرحى "، قال ابو عيسى: وفي الباب، عن الربيع بنت معوذ، وهذا حديث حسن صحيح.
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to go out for jihad with Umm Sulaym and some other women of the Ansar who stayed with her. They would give water and treat the wounded.
Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith is hasan sahih.
2- There is also a narration in this chapter from Rubayyi' bint Mu'awwidh.
