Sincerity is the basic condition for acceptance of deeds

-" إن الله يقول: انا خير شريك، فمن اشرك بي احدا فهو لشريكي! يا ايها الناس! اخلصوا الاعمال لله، فإن الله عز وجل لا يقبل من العمل إلا ما خلص له، ولا تقولوا: هذا لله وللرحم وليس لله منه شيء! ولا تقولوا: هذا لله ولوجوهكم، فإنه لوجوهكم، وليس لله منه شيء".
Sayyiduna Duhak bin Qais (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah says: I am the best of partners, and in this way, whoever makes someone a partner with Me, I give all of My share to My partner (and take nothing for Myself). O people! Perform deeds purely for Allah, because Allah accepts only those deeds which are done purely for Him. Do not say: This is for Allah and this is for kinship and relations, for in such (a division) nothing is for Allah. And do not say: This is for Allah and this is for so-and-so, for all of it goes to so-and-so, and Allah has no share in it."
