The Book of Zakat
(وَصْفُ مَنْ يَسْأَلُ لِزِيَادَةِ مَالِهِ وَثَرْوَتِهِ)
(Description of one who asks to increase his wealth and riches)
Hadith Number: 1838
وعن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «من سال الناس اموالهم تكثرا فإنما يسال جمرا. فليستقل او ليستكثر» . رواه مسلم
Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying,“He who begs the property of others to increase his own is asking only for live coals,* so let him ask little or much.”Muslim transmitted it. * A reference incurring some of the punishment of hell.
