It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) in a marfu' form that: "Allah has not sent down any disease except that He has also sent down its cure; whoever knows it, knows it, and whoever remains unaware of it, remains unaware."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led the Zuhr prayer and performed five rak'ahs. Someone asked: "Has there been an addition to the prayer?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "No, what happened?" The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said: "You performed five rak'ahs." Upon hearing this, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) folded his legs, turned for salam, and performed two prostrations of forgetfulness (sujood as-sahw).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was clinging to the covering of the Ka'bah when three men came. One of them was a Thaqafi and the other two were from the tribe of Quraysh, who were his sons-in-law. They had a lot of fat on their bellies but very little understanding in their hearts. They began to talk quietly among themselves, which I could not hear. Meanwhile, one of them said: What do you think, does Allah hear our conversations? The second said: I think that when we speak loudly, He hears us, and when we do not raise our voices, He does not hear us. The third said: If He can hear something, then He can hear everything. I mentioned this to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so Allah Almighty revealed this verse: «‏‏‏‏﴿وَمَا كُنْتُمْ تَسْتَتِرُونَ أَنْ يَشْهَدَ عَلَيْكُمْ سَمْعُكُمْ وَلَا أَبْصَارُكُمْ وَلَا جُلُودُكُمْ . . . . . فَمَا هُمْ مِنَ الْمُعْتَبِينَ﴾» ‏‏‏‏ [فصلت: 22-24] "And you conceal things so that your ears, eyes, and skins may not bear witness against you... so they are not among those who are forgiven."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that when this blessed verse was revealed: «﴿الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَلَمْ يَلْبِسُوا إِيمَانَهُمْ بِظُلْمٍ . . . . .﴾» [الأنعام: 82] "Those who believe and do not mix their belief with injustice..." this was very hard on the people and they said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Which one of us has not wronged himself? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It does not mean what you think it means. Have you not heard what the righteous servant (Luqman, peace be upon him) said: 'O my dear son! Do not associate anything with Allah, for indeed associating partners with Allah is a great injustice.' In this verse, what is meant is also shirk (associating partners with Allah)."

Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that once I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Which deed is most beloved to Allah?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Prayer at its proper time." I asked: "Then what?" He said: "Kindness to parents." I asked: "Then what?" He said: "Striving in the way of Allah." If I had asked further, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would have answered my questions as well.
