حَدِيثُ جَابِرٍ الْأَحْمَسِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Jabir al-Ahmasi (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 19100
حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة ، عن إسماعيل يعني ابن ابي خالد ، عن حكيم بن جابر ، عن ابيه ، قال: دخلت على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وعنده الدباء، فقلت: ما هذا؟ قال: " نكثر به طعامنا" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir Ahmasi (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I presented myself before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and there was gourd (pumpkin) with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I asked, "What is this?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "With this, we increase our food."

حدثنا وكيع ، حدثنا إسماعيل بن ابي خالد ، عن حكيم بن جابر ، عن ابيه ، قال: دخلت على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في بيته، فرايت عنده قرعا، فقلت: يا رسول الله، ما هذا؟ قال: " هذا قرع نكثر به طعامنا" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir Ahmisi (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I presented myself before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and there was gourd (pumpkin) with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I asked, "What is this?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "With this, we increase our food."
