Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Abu Ma'shar, from al-Nakha'i, from Abu 'Abd Allah al-Jadali, from Khuzaimah ibn Thabit al-Ansari, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said the like of it.

It is narrated from Hazrat Khuzaimah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say that a traveler can wipe over his leather socks for three nights, and a resident for one day and one night. By Allah! If the questioner had requested for more days, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would have granted more.

It is narrated from Khuzaimah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned istinja and said: "Three stones should be used, none of which should be dung."

Muhammad bin Ammarah says that my grandfather, Hazrat Khuzaimah (may Allah be pleased with him), kept his sword sheathed on the day of the Battle of Jamal, but in the Battle of Siffin, in which Hazrat Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) was martyred, he drew his sword from its sheath and fought so much that he was eventually martyred. He used to say that I heard the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "A rebellious group will kill Ammar."

It is narrated from Khuzaimah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty does not shy away from stating the truth, therefore do not approach women from their "back passage."

It is narrated from Hazrat Khuzaimah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say that a traveler can wipe over his leather socks for three nights, and a resident for one day and one night.

It is narrated from Hazrat Khuzaymah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If a person commits a sin and its prescribed punishment is carried out upon him, then that becomes an expiation for him.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer Witr in the early, middle, and last parts of the night.

It is narrated from Hazrat Khuzaymah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he saw himself in a dream kissing the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) (on his blessed forehead). He presented himself before the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and related this dream. (The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The soul does not meet the soul.") And the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) lowered his head before him, so he kissed it.

It is narrated from Hazrat Khuzaymah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned istinja and said: "Can none of you find three stones?" It is narrated from Khuzaymah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned istinja and said: "Three stones should be used, among which there should be no dung."
