حَدِيثُ نَاجِيَةَ الْخُزَاعِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ صَاحِبِ بُدْنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Hadith of Najiyah al-Khuza'i (may Allah be pleased with him), the companion of the sacrificial camels of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)

حدثنا سفيان ، قال: حدثنا هشام بن عروة ، عن ابيه ، عن ناجية الخزاعي صاحب بدن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: قلت: يا رسول الله، كيف اصنع بما عطب من البدن؟ قال:" انحره، ثم اغمس خفه في دمه، ثم اضرب بها صفحته، ثم خل بينه وبين الناس" .
Sayyiduna Najiyah Khuzai (may Allah be pleased with him), who was the caretaker of the sacrificial animals of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), narrates: I asked, "O Messenger of Allah! What should I do with a camel that becomes exhausted?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Slaughter it! Then dip its feet in its blood and mark it on the side of that camel, then leave it for the people."
