حدثني يحيى، عن مالك، عن زيد بن اسلم ، عن عطاء بن يسار ، عن عبد الله بن عباس ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، " اكل كتف شاة ثم صلى ولم يتوضا"
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ate the meat of a goat's foreleg, then performed prayer and did not perform ablution.

وحدثني، عن مالك، عن يحيى بن سعيد ، عن بشير بن يسار مولى بني حارثة، عن سويد بن النعمان ، انه اخبره، انه خرج مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عام خيبر. حتى إذا كانوا بالصهباء، وهي من ادنى خيبر" نزل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فصلى العصر، ثم دعا بالازواد فلم يؤت إلا بالسويق، فامر به فثري، فاكل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم واكلنا، ثم قام إلى المغرب فمضمض ومضمضنا، ثم صلى ولم يتوضا"
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Suwaid bin Nu'man (may Allah be pleased with him) that he set out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the year when the Battle of Khaybar took place, until when they reached Sahba (which is a place) on the way back from Khaybar towards Madinah, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) dismounted, then performed the Asr prayer and asked for provisions, but nothing was brought except sattu (parched barley meal). So he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered it to be opened, and it was opened, then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ate from it and so did we. Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up for the Maghrib prayer, rinsed his mouth, and we also rinsed our mouths, then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed the prayer and did not perform ablution.

وحدثني، عن وحدثني، عن مالك، عن محمد بن المنكدر ، وعن صفوان بن سليم ، انهما اخبراه، عن محمد بن إبراهيم بن الحارث التيمي ، عن ربيعة بن عبد الله بن الهدير ، انه" تعشى مع عمر بن الخطاب ، ثم صلى ولم يتوضا"
Hazrat Rabee'ah bin Abdullah ate dinner with Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), then Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) performed prayer and did not perform ablution.

Hadith Number: 50
وحدثني، عن وحدثني، عن مالك، عن ضمرة بن سعيد المازني ، عن ابان بن عثمان ، ان عثمان بن عفان " اكل خبزا ولحما ثم مضمض، وغسل يديه ومسح بهما وجهه، ثم صلى ولم يتوضا"
It is narrated from Hazrat Aban bin Uthman that Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) ate bread and meat, rinsed his mouth, washed his hands and wiped his mouth, then performed prayer without performing ablution.

وحدثني، عن وحدثني، عن مالك، انه بلغه، ان علي بن ابي طالب، وعبد الله بن عباس،" كانا لا يتوضآن مما مست النار"
Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) was informed from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that both of them would not perform ablution after eating food cooked with fire.

Hadith Number: 52
وحدثني، عن وحدثني، عن مالك، عن يحيى بن سعيد ، انه سال عبد الله بن عامر بن ربيعة ، عن الرجل يتوضا للصلاة، ثم يصيب طعاما قد مسته النار ايتوضا؟ قال:" رايت ابي يفعل ذلك ولا يتوضا"
Yahya ibn Sa'id asked Abdullah ibn 'Amir whether if a person performed wudu for prayer and then ate food cooked with fire, should he perform wudu again? Abdullah replied that he had seen his father, Sayyiduna 'Amir ibn Rabi'ah ibn Ka'b ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), who was a well-known Companion, eat food cooked with fire and not perform wudu again.

وحدثني وحدثني يحيى، عن مالك، عن ابي نعيم وهب بن كيسان ، انه سمع جابر بن عبد الله الانصاري ، يقول:" رايت ابا بكر الصديق اكل لحما، ثم صلى ولم يتوضا"
Abu Nu'aym Wahb bin Kaysan heard from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he saw Sayyiduna Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) eat meat, then pray, and he did not perform ablution.

وحدثني، عن مالك، عن محمد بن المنكدر ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " دعي لطعام فقرب إليه خبز ولحم فاكل منه، ثم توضا وصلى، ثم اتي بفضل ذلك الطعام فاكل منه، ثم صلى ولم يتوضا"
It is narrated from Muhammad bin Munkadir that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was invited to a meal, so bread and meat were presented before him. He ate from it, performed ablution, and offered prayer. Then the leftover of that food was brought, he ate from it and offered prayer without performing ablution.

عن عبد الرحمٰن بن زيد الانصاري، ان انس بن مالك قدم من العراق فدخل عليه ابو طلحة وابى بن كعب فقرب لهما طعاما قد مسته النار فاكلوا منه فقام انس فتوضا فقال ابو طلحة وابى بن كعب ما هذا يا انس اعراقية، فقال انس ليتني لم افعل. وقام ابو طلحة وابى بن كعب فصليا ولم يتوضآ
It is narrated from Abdur Rahman bin Yazid Ansari that when Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) came from Iraq, Abu Talha and Ubayy bin Ka'b went to meet him. Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) presented to them food that had been cooked with fire, and then all of them ate. Then Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) got up and performed ablution. So Abu Talha and Ubayy bin Ka'b said, "Did you learn to perform ablution after eating food in Iraq?" Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) replied, "I wish I had not performed ablution." Then Abu Talha and Ubayy bin Ka'b stood up and both of them prayed without performing ablution.
