Chapter on Actions in Comprehensive Prayer
Hadith Number: 400
حدثني يحيى، عن مالك، عن نافع ، عن ابن عمر ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم" كان يصلي قبل الظهر ركعتين، وبعدها ركعتين، وبعد المغرب ركعتين في بيته، وبعد صلاة العشاء ركعتين، وكان لا يصلي بعد الجمعة حتى ينصرف فيركع ركعتين"
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer two rak'ahs before Zuhr, and two rak'ahs after Zuhr, and two rak'ahs after Maghrib in his house, and two rak'ahs after Isha, and he would not offer two rak'ahs after Jumu'ah in the mosque until he came home, then he would offer two rak'ahs.

Hadith Number: 401
وحدثني، عن مالك، عن ابي الزناد ، عن الاعرج ، عن ابي هريرة ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " اترون قبلتي هاهنا، فوالله ما يخفى علي خشوعكم ولا ركوعكم، إني لاراكم من وراء ظهري"
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You see my face towards the Qiblah, by Allah! Your humility in prayer and your bowing are not hidden from me, I see you from behind my back."

Hadith Number: 402
وحدثني، عن مالك، عن نافع ، عن عبد الله بن عمر ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم" كان ياتي قباء راكبا وماشيا"
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to come to Quba riding and on foot.

Hadith Number: 403
وحدثني، عن مالك، عن يحيى بن سعيد ، عن النعمان بن مرة ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " ما ترون في الشارب والسارق والزاني؟" وذلك قبل ان ينزل فيهم، قالوا: الله ورسوله اعلم، قال:" هن فواحش وفيهن عقوبة واسوا السرقة الذي يسرق صلاته"، قالوا: وكيف يسرق صلاته يا رسول الله؟ قال:" لا يتم ركوعها ولا سجودها"
It is narrated from Hazrat Nu’man bin Marwah that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:“What is your opinion about the person who drinks wine, steals, and commits adultery?”And this was before the command was revealed regarding them. So the companions, may Allah be pleased with them, said: Allah and His Messenger know best. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:“These are evil deeds, and there is certainly punishment for them, and the worst theft among all thefts is the theft of prayer.”The companions, may Allah be pleased with them, asked: How is one a thief of prayer? The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:“The thief of prayer is the one who does not complete the bowing and prostration properly.”

Hadith Number: 404
وحدثني، عن مالك، عن هشام بن عروة ، عن ابيه ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " اجعلوا من صلاتكم في بيوتكم"
It is narrated from Hazrat Urwah bin Zubair that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Offer a part of your prayers in your homes."

Hadith Number: 405
وحدثني، عن وحدثني، عن مالك، عن نافع ، ان عبد الله بن عمر ، كان يقول: " إذا لم يستطع المريض السجود، اوما براسه إيماء ولم يرفع إلى جبهته شيئا"
It is narrated from Nafi‘ that Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) used to say: If a sick person does not have the strength to perform prostration, he should indicate with his head, but he should not place anything elevated in front of his forehead.

Hadith Number: 406
وحدثني، عن مالك، عن ربيعة بن ابي عبد الرحمن ، ان عبد الله بن عمر " كان إذا جاء المسجد وقد صلى الناس بدا بصلاة المكتوبة ولم يصل قبلها شيئا"
It is narrated from Rabi'ah bin Abdur Rahman that when Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would come to the mosque and find that the congregation had finished, he would begin the obligatory prayer and would not perform the Sunnah prayers.

Hadith Number: 407
وحدثني، عن وحدثني، عن مالك، عن نافع ، ان عبد الله بن عمر مر على رجل وهو يصلي فسلم عليه، فرد الرجل كلاما فرجع إليه عبد الله بن عمر ، فقال له: " إذا سلم على احدكم وهو يصلي فلا يتكلم وليشر بيده"
It is narrated from Nafi that Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, passed by a man who was praying, so he greeted him with salam. The man replied with his tongue. Then Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, returned and said to him: When someone greets you with salam while you are praying, do not reply with your tongue, but rather respond by gesturing with your hand.

Hadith Number: 408
وحدثني، عن وحدثني، عن مالك، عن نافع ، ان عبد الله بن عمر ، كان يقول: " من نسي صلاة فلم يذكرها إلا وهو مع الإمام، فإذا سلم الإمام فليصل الصلاة التي نسي، ثم ليصل بعدها الاخرى"
It is narrated from Nafi‘ that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, used to say: Whoever forgets a prayer and then remembers it while he is behind the imam in another prayer, then when the imam finishes with salam, he should perform the forgotten prayer and then repeat the prayer which he performed with the imam.

Hadith Number: 409
وحدثني، عن وحدثني، عن مالك، عن يحيى بن سعيد ، عن محمد بن يحيى بن حبان ، عن عمه واسع بن حبان ، انه قال: كنت اصلي، وعبد الله بن عمر مسند ظهره إلى جدار القبلة، فلما قضيت صلاتي انصرفت إليه من قبل شقي الايسر، فقال عبد الله بن عمر:" ما منعك ان تنصرف عن يمينك؟" قال: فقلت: رايتك فانصرفت إليك، قال عبد الله : " فإنك قد اصبت إن قائلا يقول: انصرف عن يمينك فإذا كنت تصلي، فانصرف حيث شئت إن شئت عن يمينك، وإن شئت عن يسارك
It is narrated from Hazrat Wasi’ bin Hibban that I was performing prayer and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) was sitting with his back towards the Qiblah. When I finished the prayer, I turned to him from the left side. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Why did you not turn from the right side? I said: Seeing you, I turned and went from the left side. Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: You did well. A certain person says that when you have finished the prayer, turn from the right side, but when you have performed the prayer, turn and go from whichever side you wish, from the right or from the left.
