It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever says «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ» one hundred times in a day, it is as if he has freed ten slaves, and one hundred good deeds will be written for him, and one hundred sins will be erased from him, and he will be protected from the evil of Satan for the whole day until evening, and no one will bring a better deed than this except the one who does more than this."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever says: «سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ» one hundred times in a day, his sins will be erased even if they are like the foam of the sea."

Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Whoever says «سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ» thirty-three times after every prayer, and says «اَللّٰهُ أَكْبَر» thirty-three times, and says «اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ» thirty-three times, and completes one hundred with «لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ، وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ» , then his sins will be forgiven even if they are like the foam of the sea.

Saeed bin Musayyib said: The enduring good deeds are these words: «اَللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ» , «سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ» , «اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ» , «لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ» , «لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللّٰهِ» .

Sayyiduna Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Shall I not tell you of the deed which is better for you than all your deeds, and which is highest in rank, and which is, in the sight of your Lord, the most excellent of all deeds, and better than spending gold and silver, and better than that you meet your enemy and strike his neck or he strikes your neck? The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said: Yes, do tell us. He said: The remembrance of Allah, the Exalted and Glorious. Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A man does no deed which saves him more from Allah's punishment than the remembrance of Allah.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Rifa’ah bin Rafi’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day we were praying behind the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). When he raised his head from bowing (ruku’) and said: «سَمِعَ اللّٰهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ» , a man said: «رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ، حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ.» . When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the prayer, he said:“Who was the one who spoke just now?”That man said:“It was I, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).”Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“I saw more than thirty angels rushing to see who would write it first.”
