What is reported about supplication
Hadith Number: 504
وحدثني، عن مالك، عن زيد بن اسلم، انه كان يقول: " ما من داع يدعو إلا كان بين إحدى ثلاث إما ان يستجاب له، وإما ان يدخر له، وإما ان يكفر عنه"
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zaid bin Aslam (may Allah be pleased with him), he used to say: When a person makes supplication, his supplication is not devoid of three states: either it is accepted, or it is deferred until the Day of Resurrection, or it becomes an expiation for sins.
