جُمَّاعُ أَبْوَابِ الْآدَابِ الْمُحْتَاجِ إِلَيْهَا فِي إِتْيَانِ الْغَائِطِ وَالْبَوْلِ إِلَى الْفَرَاغِ مِنْهَا

Chapter 45: Permission to urinate standing
Hadith Number: 61
حدثنا احمد بن عبدة الضبي ، حدثنا ابو عوانة . ح وحدثنا سلم بن جنادة ، حدثنا وكيع كلاهما، عن الاعمش . ح وحدثنا ابو موسى محمد بن المثنى ، حدثنا ابن ابي عدي ، عن شعبة . ح وحدثنا بشر بن خالد العسكري ، حدثنا محمد يعني ابن جعفر ، عن شعبة ، عن سليمان وهو الاعمش، عن ابي وائل ، عن حذيفة ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " اتى سباطة قوم فبال قائما، ثم توضا ومسح على خفيه"
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to a garbage dump (a heap of refuse), and he stood and urinated. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution and wiped over his leather socks.
Hadith Number: 62
حدثنا نصر بن علي ، حدثنا الفضيل بن سليمان ، انا ابو حازم ، قال: رايت سهل بن سعد يبول قائما، فإنه تحدث ذلك عليه، وقال:" قد رايت من هو خير مني فعله"
Abu Hazim narrates that I saw Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) urinating while standing. After finishing, he explained the reason for his action by saying that he had seen someone better than himself do this (i.e., the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him).
