184| Chapter on the evidence that the prohibition of preventing women from mosques was when there was no fear of their corruption, based on suspicion not certainty
Hadith Number: 1698
Hazrat Amrah narrates that I heard Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) saying: If the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had seen the things that women have adopted after him in terms of adornment and beautification, he (peace be upon him) would have forbidden them from coming to the mosques, just as the women of Bani Israel were stopped. Hazrat Amrah says: I asked, what is this matter? Were the women of Bani Israel stopped from coming to the mosque? She replied: Yes. This is the hadith of Janab Abdul Jabbar, and in the narration of Janab Ahmad, it is mentioned that I asked Sayyiduna Amrah, were the women of Bani Israel stopped?
