جُمَّاعُ أَبْوَابِ صَدَقَةِ التَّطَوُّعِ
Chapters on Voluntary Charity
(154) بَابُ الْأَمْرِ بِإِتْيَانِ الْقَرَابَةِ بِمَا يَتَقَرَّبُ بِهِ الْمَوْلَى لِلَّهِ- عَزَّ وَجَلَّ- مِنْ صَدَقَةِ التَّطَوُّعِ
154 Subchapter: Command to give voluntary charity to relatives to seek closeness to Allah

Hadith Number: 2458
حدثنا ابو موسى محمد بن المثنى ، حدثنا خالد بن الحارث ، حدثنا حميد ، قال: قال انس : انزلت هذه الآية لن تنالوا البر حتى تنفقوا مما تحبون سورة آل عمران آية 92، قال: من ذا الذي يقرض الله قرضا حسنا سورة البقرة آية 245، قال ابو طلحة: يا رسول الله، حائطي الذي في كذا وكذا هو لله، ولو استطعت ان اسره لم اعلنه، فقال: " اجعله في فقراء اهلك، ادنى اهل بيتك" .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when this verse was revealed «لَن تَنَالُوا الْبِرَّ حَتَّىٰ تُنفِقُوا مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَ» [ سورة آل عمران: 92 ] "You will never attain righteousness until you spend from that which you love," and this statement «مَّن ذَا الَّذِي يُقْرِضُ اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا» [ سورة البقرة: 245 ] "Who is it that will lend Allah a goodly loan," Sayyiduna Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), my garden located at such-and-such place is charity for Allah, and if I had the ability to keep it secret, I would not have announced it." So the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Distribute it among your needy close relatives."

Hadith Number: 2459
وحدثنا ابو موسى ، حدثنا سهل بن يوسف ، عن حميد ، عن انس ، قال: لما نزلت هذه الآية، فذكر نحوه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم.
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when this verse was revealed, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) narrated as mentioned above.
