باب الأوقات المنهي عن الصلاة فيها
Times when prayer is prohibited
Hadith Number: 280
حدثنا محمد بن يحيى ، قال: ثنا محمد بن عبيد ، قال: ثنا عبيد الله بن عمر ، عن نافع ، عن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما، قال: " لا يتحين احدكم طلوع الشمس ولا غروبها" فإن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان ينهى عن ذلك" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that none of you should perform prayer at the time of sunrise or sunset, because the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to prohibit this.

Hadith Number: 281
حدثنا محمد ، قال: ثنا عبد الصمد بن عبد الوارث ، قال: ثنا شعبة ، قال: ثنا منصور ، عن هلال بن يساف ، عن وهب بن الاجدع ، عن علي رضي الله عنه، قال:" نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ان يصلى بعد العصر إلا ان تكون الشمس مرتفعة" .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade performing (optional) prayer after the Asr prayer, except if the sun is high (then it is permissible to pray).
