A Person Gifts His Debt to Someone

٢٣٨٤٣ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن ابي زائدة عن (شعبة) (١) عن الحكم في رجل وهب لرجل (دينا) (٢) له عليه (٣) قال: ليس له ان يرجع فيه.
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:

(٢) سقط من [هـ].
(٣) في [هـ]: زيادة (دين).
Hazrat Hakam (may Allah have mercy on him) says that if a person had a debt upon another and he gifted his debt to him, then he no longer has the right to take it back.

٢٣٨٤٤ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا ابو داود الطيالسي عن شعبة قال: قال (لي) (١) الحكم: اتاني ابن ابي ليلى فسالني عن رجل كان له على رجل دين (فوهبه) (٢) له، اله ان يرجع فيه؟ قلت: لا.

Hazrat Shu’bah, may Allah have mercy on him, says that Hazrat Hakam said to me: Ibn Abi Layla came to me and asked,“A person had a debt upon another, and he gifted it to him. Can he take it back?”I replied,“No.”I asked Hazrat Hammad, and he said,“Why not? He can take it back.”
