٢٥٥٨١ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا ابو الاحوص عن (ابي) (١) إسحاق عن ⦗٣٠٠⦘ (بريد) (٢) بن ابي مريم عن افس بن مالك قال: كنا (ننبذ) (٣) الرطب والبسر على عهد رسول الله ﷺ، فلما نزل تحريم الخمر (اهرقناهما من) (٤) الاوعية، ثم تركناهما (٥).

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), he says that during the blessed era of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), we used to make nabidh from unripe dates and ripe dates. Then, when the prohibition of alcohol was revealed, we poured out the nabidh of both from the vessels and then we abandoned both.

٢٥٥٨٢ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا ابو الاحوص عن ابي إسحاق عن (النجراني) (١) قال: قلت لعبد الله بن عمر: إنا بارض ذات تمر وزبيب، (فهل) (٢) (يخلط) (٣) التمر والزبيب فننبذهما جميعا؟ قال: لا، قلت: لم؟ (قال) (٤): إن رجلا سكر على عهد رسول الله ﷺ فاتي به النبي وهو سكران، فضربه ثم ساله عن شرابه، (قال) (٥): شربت نبيذا، (قال) (٦): اي نبيذ؟ قال: نبيذ تمر وزبيب، قال: قال النبي ﷺ:"لا تخلطوهما فإن كل واحد منهما يكفي وحده" (٧).

(٧) مجهول؛ لجهالة النجراني، أخرجه أحمد (٤٧٨٦)، والنسائي في الكبرى (٥٢٩٤)، وأبو يعلى (٥٧٨٣).
Najranī narrated, he said: I asked Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), "We are people of dates and raisins. Is it permissible for us to mix dates and raisins and then make nabidh from both together?" He replied, "No." I asked, "Why?" He replied, "A man was in a state of intoxication during the blessed time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and was brought to the gathering of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in that state. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) then ordered him to be beaten, Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him about the drink. He said, 'I drank nabidh.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, 'Which nabidh?' He replied, 'Nabidh of dates and raisins.' The narrator said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'Do not mix the two together, for each one of them is sufficient on its own.'"

٢٥٥٨٣ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا محمد بن بشر العبدي عن حجاج (بن) (١) ابي عثمان عن يحيى بن ابي كثير عن عبد الله بن ابي قتادة عن ابيه ان رسول الله ﷺ ⦗٣٠١⦘ قال:"لا تنتبذوا التمر والزبيب جميعا، ولا تنتبذوا الزهو والرطب، وانتبذوا كل واحد منهما على حدة" (٢).

Hazrat Abdullah bin Abu Qatadah narrates from his father, who narrates from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: "Do not use dates and raisins together to make nabidh, and do not make nabidh by combining unripe and ripe dates together; rather, make nabidh from each of them separately."

٢٥٥٨٤ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن نمير قال: حدثنا الاعمش عن حبيب عن (ابي) (١) ارطاة عن ابي سعيد قال: نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن الزهو والتمر وعن الزبيب والتمر (٢).

(٢) مجهول؛ لجهالة أبي أرطأة، أخرجه أحمد (١١٥٧٦)، والنسائي ٨/ ٢٨٩، وأبو يعلى (١١٧٦)، والمزي ٣٣/ ٢٢.
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed, he says that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade (the mixing of) unripe dates and ripe dates, and raisins and dates.

٢٥٥٨٥ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا علي بن مسهر عن الشيباني عن حبيب عن سعيد بن جبير عن (ابن) (١) عباس قال: نهى رسول الله ﷺ ان يخلط التمر والزبيب جميعا، وان يخلط البسر والتمر جميعا، وكتب إلى اهل (جرش) (٢) (نهاهم) (٣) عن خلط التمر والزبيب (٤).

(٤) صحيح؛ أخرجه مسلم (١٩٩٥)، وأحمد (٢٤٩٩).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade mixing dates and raisins together, and mixing unripe and ripe dates together. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wrote a letter to the people of Jurash in which he forbade them from mixing dates and raisins together.

٢٥٥٨٦ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا حفص عن (ابن) (١) جريج (عن عطاء) (٢) عن جابر قال: نهى رسول الله ﷺ ان ينبذ التمر والزبيب جميعا، (والتمر والبسر جميعا) (٣) (٤).

It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir, who says that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade mixing dates and raisins, and also forbade mixing ripe and unripe dates.

٢٥٥٨٧ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا ابو اسامة عن (ابن) (١) عون عن محمد عن عقبة بن عبد الغافر قال: كان ابو سعيد الخدري ينهى ان يجمع بين التمر والزبيب (٢).

It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Abd al-Ghaafir that he says Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri used to prohibit mixing dates and raisins.

٢٥٥٨٨ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا سهل بن يوسف عن حميد عن عكرمة عن (ابن) (١) عباس انه كان يكره البسر وحده، وان يجمع بينه وبين التمر، ولا يرى باسا بالتمر والزبيب، ويقول: حلالان اجتمعا (و) (٢) تفرقا (٣).

Hazrat Ikrimah narrates regarding Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that he disliked eating half-ripe dates alone. He also disliked that half-ripe and fully ripe dates be combined together. However, he saw no harm in combining raisins and dates, and he used to say, "Both of these are lawful things, whether they are together or separate." The narrator says that Hasan disliked combining dates and raisins.

25589 - He said: And Al-Hasan used to dislike combining dates and raisins.

٢٥٥٩٠ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا جرير بن عبد الحميد عن سماك بن موسى الضبي قال: رايت جارية انس بن مالك (تقطع) (١) التذنيب من البسر، فتنبذه على حدة، (وتنبذ البسر على حده) (٢).

It is narrated from Hazrat Samak bin Musa Dhabbi, he says that I saw the slave girl of Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) breaking ripe dates from the stem side among the half-ripe dates. So this slave girl used to prepare nabidh separately from the ripe dates taken from the stem side, and used to prepare nabidh separately from the half-ripe dates.
