Plucking white hair

٢٧٦٢٩ - حدثنا عبدة بن سليمان عن محمد بن إسحاق عن عمرو بن شعيب عن ابيه عن جده قال: نهى رسول الله وير عن نتف الشيب، (و) (١) قال: هو نور المؤمن (٢).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) سقط من: [ط].
(٢) منقطع حكمًا؛ ابن إسحاق مدلس، أخرجه أحمد (٦٦٧٢)، وأبو داود (٤٢٠٢)، والنسائي (٨/ ١٣٦)، والبيهقي (٧/ ٣١١)، وابن ماجه (٣٧٢١)، وابن عدي (١٠٦١)، والترمذي (٢٨٢١)، والبغوي (٣١٨١).
Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade plucking white hairs and said: "This is the light of the believer."

٢٧٦٣٠ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن ايوب السختياني عن يوسف عن طلق ابن حبيب ان حجاما اخذ من شارب النبي ﷺ فراى شيبة في لحيته، فاهوى إليها، فاخذ النبي ﷺ بيده وقال:"من شاب شيبة في الإسلام كانت له نورا يوم القيامة" (١).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) مرسل؛ طلق تابعي، أخرجه ابن سعد (١/ ٤٣٣)، والبيهقي في شعب الإيمان (٦٣٩٠).
Hazrat Taliq bin Habib narrates that a barber trimmed the mustache of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He saw a white hair in the beard of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and wanted to cut it, but the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) held his hand and said: Whoever grows old while adhering to Islam, for him there will be a light on the Day of Resurrection.

٢٧٦٣١ - حدثنا ابن مهدي عن المثنى عن قتادة عن انس انه كان يكره نتف الشيب (١).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) صحيح.
Hazrat Qatadah says that Hazrat Anas considered plucking white hairs to be disliked.

٢٧٦٣٢ - حدثنا ابن مهدي عن هشام عن قتادة (١) عن سعيد بن جبير قال: عذب رجل في نتف (الشيب) (٢).

(١) في [أ، هـ]: زيادة (عن أنس).
(٢) في [ط]: (للشيب).
Hazrat Qatadah says that Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair stated: A person will be punished for plucking out white hair.

٢٧٦٣٣ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن (حميد) (١) الاعرج عن مجاهد قال: كان يقول: لا تنتفوا الشيب، فإنه نور يوم القيامة.

Hazrat Humaid A'raj narrates that Hazrat Mujahid used to say: Do not pluck out white hairs. Surely, they will be a light on the Day of Resurrection.

٢٧٦٣٤ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن منصور عن ابي معشر عن إبراهيم انه (كره) (١) نتف الشيب، ولم ير بقصه باسا.

Hazrat Abu Ma'shar states that Ibrahim considered plucking out white hair to be disliked, but saw no harm in cutting it.
