Hazrat Mughira Abdi narrates that Hazrat Shurayh heard the sound of a duff and said: Surely, angels do not enter the house in which there is a duff.

Hazrat Imran bin Muslim narrates that Hazrat Khaythamah said to me: Have you not heard Hazrat Suwaid saying that: Angels do not enter the house in which there is a daf (tambourine)?

Ibrahim narrates that the companions of Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) used to come to those girls in the streets who had a daf with them, and they would break it.
