Narrations Regarding Tale-Bearing

٢٨٢٨٥ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا ابو معاوية عن الاعمش عن إبراهيم عن همام بن الحارث عن حذيفة قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ:"لا يدخل الجنة قتات" (١).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) صحيح؛ أخرجه البخاري (٦٠٥٦)، ومسلم (١٠٥).
Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The tale-bearer will not enter Paradise.

٢٨٢٨٦ - حدثنا علي بن مسهر عن الشيباني عن واصل عن شقيق عن حذيفة قال: كنا نتحدث (انه) (١): لا يدخل الجنة قتات (٢).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) سقط من: [أ، ح، ط، هـ].
(٢) صحيح.
Hazrat Shaqiq narrates that Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We used to narrate that surely a tale-bearer will not enter Paradise.

٢٨٢٨٧ - حدثنا حفص (عن الاعمش) (١) عن ابي إسحاق عن عمرو بن ميمون قال: لما رفع الله موسى نجيا راى رجلا متعلقا بالعرش فقال: (يا رب) (٢) من هذا؟ فقال: (عبد من عبادي صالح، إن شئت اخبرتك بعمله)، قال: يا رب اخبرني، قال: (كان لا يمشي بالنميمة).

Hazrat Abu Ishaq narrates that Hazrat Amr bin Maymoon said: When Allah Almighty honored Hazrat Musa with a private conversation, he saw a man clinging to the Throne. He asked: O Lord! Who is this person? Allah, the Lord of Honor, said: He is one of My righteous servants. If you wish, I can inform you about his deeds. He said: O Lord! Inform me. Allah, the Lord of Honor, said: This person did not indulge in tale-bearing.

٢٨٢٨٨ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا الاعمش عن إبراهيم عن عبد الرحمن بن زيد قال: كانت لنا جارية اعجمية، فمرضت فجعلت تقول عند الموت: هذا فلان (تمرغ) (١) في الحماة، فلما ان ماتت سالنا عن الرجل، قال: فقال: ما كان به باس إلا انه كان يمشي بالنميمة.

(١) في [جـ، ط]: (تمرع)، وفي [م]: (يمرع)، وفي [ع]: (يمزع)، وفي [ب]: (يمرغ).
Ibrahim narrates that Abdur Rahman bin Yazid said: We had a non-Arab slave girl who fell ill. At the time of her death, she began to say: That person is rolling in filthy, foul-smelling soil. When she died, we inquired about that man. They said: There was nothing wrong with him except that he used to engage in tale-bearing.
