٢٩٢٨٠ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا جرير عن مغيرة عن سماك عن الشعبي قال: رفع إلى علي رجل قتل امراة فقال علي لاوليائها: إن شئتم فادوا نصف الدية واقتلوه (١).

(١) حسن؛ سماك صدوق.
Hazrat Sha'bi narrates that a man who had killed a woman was brought before Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). Upon this, Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said to the guardians of the woman: If you wish, pay half the blood money to the family of the killer and then you may kill him.

٢٩٢٨١ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا غندر عن عوف عن الحسن قال: لا يقتل الذكر بالانثى حتى (يؤدى) (١) نصف الدية إلى اهله.

Hazrat Auf narrates that Hasan Basri said: A man will not be killed in retribution for a woman unless the family of the killer pays half the blood money.

٢٩٢٨٢ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا يعلى عن عبد الملك عن عطاء في الرجل يقتل المراة قال: إن قتلوه ادوا نصف الدية وإن شاءوا قبلوا الدية.
Hazrat Abdul Malik narrates that Hazrat Ata, regarding the man who killed a woman, stated as follows: If they kill him in retribution, then half the blood money should be paid, and if the woman's family wishes, they may accept the blood money.
