Hazrat Hammad states that Ibrahim said: When a man denies himself while some statements from his li'an remain, he should be flogged and she will be his wife.

The aforementioned statement of Ibrahim is also transmitted from Abu Ma'shar through this chain of narration.

Hazrat Hisham states that Hasan Basri said: When a man denies his own statement before the completion of li'an, he will be flogged and she will remain his wife. And if he denies his own statement after the completion of li'an, then nothing will happen.
