٣٢٣٥٨ - حدثنا عبد الاعلى عن معمر عن الزهري عن سعيد بن المسيب عن ابي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ:"مثل المؤمن مثل الزرع لا (تزال) (١) الريح (تميله) (٢) ولا يزال المؤمن (يصيبه) (٣) (البلاء) (٤)، ومثل الكافر كمثل شجرة (الارزة) (٥) لا تهتز حتى تستحصد" (٦).

Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The example of a believer is like that of a crop which the wind keeps bending continuously, and in the same way, a believer is always afflicted with trials and tribulations. And the example of a disbeliever is like that of a pine tree which does not bend until the time comes for it to be cut down.

٣٢٣٥٩ - حدثنا ابن نمير قال: (حدثنا) (١) زكريا عن (سعد) (٢) بن إبراهيم (قال) (٣): (اخبرني) (٤) (ابن) (٥) كعب بن مالك عن ابيه قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ:"المؤمن كمثل (الخامة من) (٦) الزرع، (تفيئها) (٧) الريح تصرعها مرة، وتعدلها اخرى حتى تهيج، ومثل الكافر كمثل الارزة (المجذية) (٨) على اصولها (٩) لا (يغلبها) (١٠) شيء حتى يكون انجعافها مرة واحدة" (١١).

Hazrat Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The example of a believer is like that of a tender, weak crop which the wind keeps moving; sometimes it knocks it down and at other times it makes it stand upright, until it dries up. And the example of a disbeliever is like that of a pine tree which stands firm on its roots; nothing can move it until it is uprooted all at once.

٣٢٣٦٠ - حدثنا وكيع عن عمران بن حدير عن يحيى (بن سعيد) (١) عن بشير بن نهيك عن ابي هريرة قال: مثل المؤمن الضعيف كمثل الخامة من الزرع، تميلها الريح مرة وتقيمها مرة (٢)، قال: (اخرى) (٣) قلت: فالمؤمن القوي؟ قال: مثل ⦗٢٨⦘ النخلة تؤتي اكلها (كل) (٤) حين في ظلها ذلك (ولا) (٥) (تميلها) (٦) الريح (٧).

Hazrat Basheer bin Naheek (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The example of a weak believer is like that of an unripe crop. The wind sometimes bends it, and sometimes makes it stand upright. The narrator says: I asked, "And what is the example of a strong believer?" He (may Allah be pleased with him) said: His example is like that of a date palm tree which bears its fruit whenever anyone is under its shade, and the wind never bends it.

٣٢٣٦١ - حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن يعلى بن عطاء عن ابيه عن عبد الله بن عمرو قال: مثل المؤمن (كمثل) (١) (النحلة) (٢) (تاكل) (٣) طيبا وتضع طيبا (٤).

(٤) مجهول؛ لجهالة عطاء والد يعلى.
Hazrat Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The example of a believer is like that of a honeybee. It eats pure things and gives pure things.

٣٢٣٦٢ - حدثنا ابن إدريس عن (بريد) (١) بن عبد الله عن ابي بردة عن ابي موسى قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ:"المؤمن للمؤمن كالبنيان يشد بعضه بعضا" (٢).

(٢) صحيح؛ أخرجه البخاري (٦٠٢٦)، ومسلم (٢٥٨٥).
Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A believer for another believer is like a building, each part of which strengthens the other.

٣٢٣٦٣ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن الاعمش عن ابي عمار عن عمرو ابن شرحبيل قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ:"ان عمارا ملئ إيمانا إلى مشاشه" (١).

(١) مرسل؛ عمر بن شرحبيل تابعي، أخرجه أحمد في فضائل الصحابة (١٦٠٠)، وأخرجه النسائي (٨٢٧٣)، والحاكم ٣/ ٢٩٣ من حديث عمرو بن شرحبيل عن رجل، والمشاش: رؤوس العظام.
Hazrat Amr bin Shurahbil (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Faith is filled up to the joints of Hazrat Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him).

٣٢٣٦٤ - حدثنا (عثام) (١) بن علي عن الاعمش عن ابي إسحاق عن هانئ ⦗٢٩⦘ ابن هانئ قال: كنا جلوسا عند علي فدخل عمار (فقال) (٢): مرحبا بالطيب المطيب، سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول:"إن عمارا ملء إيمانا إلى مشاشه" (٣).

Hazrat Hani bin Hani, may Allah have mercy on him, narrates that we were sitting with Hazrat Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, when Hazrat Ammar, may Allah be pleased with him, arrived. So Hazrat Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, said: Welcome to the pure and fragrant one. I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: Surely, faith is filled in Ammar’s, may Allah be pleased with him, very joints.

٣٢٣٦٥ - حدثنا (عفان قال: حدثنا) (١) جعفر بن سليمان قال: حدثنا زكريا قال: سمعت الحسن يقول: إن الإيمان ليس بالتحلي ولا بالتمني، إنما الإيمان ما وقر في القلب وصدقه العمل.

Hazrat Zakariya (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I heard Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) saying: Faith is not the name of adornment and desire. Surely, faith is that which is firmly rooted in the heart and whose confirmation is done by actions.
