٣٢٣٤٩ - حدثنا مصعب بن المقدام قال حدثنا عكرمة بن عمار (قال) (١): حدثني ابو زميل عن مالك بن مرثد الزماني عن ابيه قال: قال ابو ذر: سالت رسول الله ﷺ: ماذا ينجي العبد من النار؟ (فقال) (٢):"الإيمان بالله"، قال: قلت: (يا ⦗٢٣⦘ نبي) (٣) الله (او) (٤) مع الإيمان عمل؟ فقال:"ترضخ مما رزقك الله، او يرضخ مما رزقه الله" (٥).

Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): Which deed is it that saves a servant from Hell? He (peace be upon him) replied: To have faith in Allah. He (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I asked: O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! Is there any deed along with faith? He (peace be upon him) replied: That you give out of the sustenance which Allah has given you. Or he (peace be upon him) said: That he gives out of the sustenance which Allah has given him.

٣٢٣٥٠ - حدثنا عفان قال: حدثنا حماد بن زيد عن علي بن زيد عن ام محمد ان رجلا قال لعائشة: ما الإيمان؟ (قالت) (١): افسر ام اجمل؟ قال: (لا بل) (٢) اجملي، (قالت) (٣): من سرته حسنته، وساءته، سيئته فهو مؤمن (٤).

Hazrat Umm Muhammad, may Allah have mercy on her, narrates that a man asked Hazrat Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her: "What is the sign of faith?" She, may Allah be pleased with her, replied: "Shall I explain in detail or briefly?" He said: "No, rather state it concisely." So she, may Allah be pleased with her, said: "Whoever is pleased with his good deed and troubled by his bad deed, then he is a believer."

٣٢٣٥١ - حدثنا محمد بن (سابق) (١) قال: حدثنا إسرائيل عن الاعمش عن إبراهيم عن علقمة عن عبد الله قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ:"ليس (المرء) (٢) المؤمن بالطعان ولا (باللعان) (٣) ولا بالفاحش ولا بالبذي" (٤).

Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A believer is not one who taunts and curses others, nor is he indecent or foul-mouthed.

٣٢٣٥٢ - حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن سفيان عن سلمة بن كهيل عن مصعب بن سعد (عن سعد) (١) قال: طبع المؤمن على الخلال كلها إلا الخيانة والكذب (٢).

(٢) صحيح؛ أخرجه ابن المبارك في الزهد (٨٢٨)، والدارقطني في العلل ٤/ ٣٣١، والبيهقي ١٠/ ١٩٧، وابن الجوزي في العلل المتناهية ٢/ ٢١٧، وقد رواه مرفوعًا الدورقي في مسند سعد (٦٥)، والبزار (١٠٢ كشف)، وابن أبي الدنيا في الصمت (٤٧٢)، وأبو يعلى (٧١١)، وابن عدي ١/ ٤٤، والبيهقي ١٠/ ١٩٧.
Hazrat Mus'ab bin Sa'd (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A believer can become accustomed to everything except dishonesty and lying.

٣٢٣٥٣ - حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن سفيان عن منصور عن مالك بن الحارث عن عبد الرحمن بن يزيد عن عبد الله قال: المؤمن (يطوى) (١) على الخلال كلها (غير) (٢) الخيانة والكذب (٣).

Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Yazid (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A believer can adopt all habits except dishonesty and lying.

٣٢٣٥٤ - [حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا الاعمش قال: حدثت عن ابي امامة قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ:"يطوى المؤمن على كل شيء إلا الخيانة والكذب] (١) (٢).

(٢) مجهول؛ لجهالة شيخ الأعمش، أخرجه أحمد (٢٢١٧٠)، وابن أبي عاصم في السنة (١١٤)، وابن عدي ١/ ٤٤.
Hazrat Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A believer can adopt all habits except dishonesty and lying.

٣٢٣٥٥ - حدثنا حسين بن علي عن زائدة عن هشام عن الحسن عن ابى موسى (ان) (١) النبي ﷺ قال:" (تكون) (٢) في آخر الزمان فتن كقطع الليل المظلم، ⦗٢٥⦘ يصبح الرجل مؤمنا ويمسي كافرا، ويمسي مؤمنا ويصبح كافرا" (٣).

Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In the last era, there will be so many tribulations as if they are pieces of a dark night. A person will begin the morning as a believer and reach the evening as a disbeliever. And he will reach the evening as a believer and begin the morning as a disbeliever.

٣٢٣٥٦ - حدثنا ابن علية عن حجاج (بن) (١) ابي عثمان عن يحيى بن ابي كثير عن هلال بن ابي ميمونة عن عطاء (بن يسار) (٢) عن معاوية بن الحكم السلمي قال: كانت لي جارية ترعى غنما لي في قبل احد (والجوانية) (٣)، (فاطلعتها) (٤) ذات يوم وإذا الذئب قد ذهب بشاة من غنمها، قال: وانا رجل من بني آدم، آسف كما (ياسفون) (٥) لكني صككتها صكة، فاتيت (٦) رسول الله ﷺ فعظم ذلك (علي) (٧) (فقلت) (٨): يا رسول الله افلا اعتقها، قال:"ائتني بها" (٩) فقال لها:"اين الله؟" قالت: في السماء، قال:"من انا؟" قالت: (انت) (١٠) رسول الله، قال:" (اعتقها) (١١) فإنها مؤمنة" (١٢).

Hazrat Ata bin Yasar (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Muawiyah bin Al-Hakam Al-Sulami (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I had a slave girl who used to graze my sheep at the place of Uhud and Jawaniyah. One day I went to her and suddenly a wolf took away one of the sheep from the flock. He (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I am a man from among the sons of Adam, I felt regret as they feel regret. But I slapped her face hard. Then I presented myself before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and I felt very bad about it. I said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Should I free her? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Bring her to me. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked her: Where is Allah? She said: In the sky. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Who am I? She said: You are the Messenger of Allah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Free her, for indeed she is a believer.

٣٢٣٥٧ - حدثنا علي بن هاشم عن (ابن) (١) ابي ليلى (عن المنهال) (٢) عن سعيد بن جبير عن ابن عباس (عن الحكم يرفعه) (٣) ان رجلا اتى النبي ﷺ وقال: إن على امي رقبة مؤمنة وعندي رقبة سوداء اعجمية فقال:"ائت بها"، فقال:"اتشهدين ان لا إله إلا الله واني رسول الله"، قالت: نعم، قال:"فاعتقها" (٤).

(٤) ضعيف؛ ابن أبي ليلى سيئ الحفظ، أخرجه البزار (١٣/ كشف)، والطبرانى (١٢٣٦٩)، وابن أبي حاتم في التفسير (٥٧٨٥).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that Hazrat Hakam (may Allah have mercy on him) has reported in a marfu’ form that a man came to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: My mother owed a believing slave woman, and I have a non-Arab, black slave woman. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Bring her to me. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Do you testify that there is no deity except Allah, and that I am the Messenger of Allah? She said: Yes! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Set her free.
