فضل أبي عبيدة ﵁
Virtue of Abu Ubaydah (may Allah be pleased with him)

٣٤٤٧٠ - حدثنا إسماعيل بن علية عن خالد عن ابي قلابة قال (١): قال رسول الله ﷺ:"إن لكل امة امينا، وإن اميننا ايتها الامة ابو عبيدة بن الجراح" (٢).

(١) في [هـ]: زيادة (قال: أنس).
(٢) مرسل؛ أبو قلابة تابعي، أخرجه عبد الرزاق (٢٠٣٨٧)، والخلال في السنة (٣٤٦)، وورد من حديث أبي قلابة عن أنس، أخرجه البخاري (٤٣٨٢)، ومسلم (٢٤١٩)، وأحد طرقه عن المؤلف، وانظر: الفصل للوصل المدرج للخطيب ٢/ ٦٨٣.
Hazrat Abu Qilabah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, every nation has a trustworthy person, and verily the trustworthy person of our nation is Abu Ubaidah bin Jarrah."

٣٤٤٧١ - حدثنا ابن علية عن يونس عن الحسن قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ:"ما من اصحابي احد إلا لو شئت اتخذت عليه بعض خلقه غير ابي عبيدة" (١).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) مرسل؛ الحسن تابعي، أخرجه أحمد في فضائل الصحابة (١٢٨٣)، والحاكم ٣/ ٢٦٦.
Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is not a single one among my companions (may Allah be pleased with them) except that I wish to change his character, except for Abu Ubaidah (may Allah be pleased with him).

٣٤٤٧٢ - حدثنا عبد الرحيم بن سليمان عن زكريا بن ابي زائدة عن ابي إسحاق عن صلة بن زفر عن حذيفة قال: اتى النبي ﷺ اسقف نجران العاقب والسيد فقالا: ابعث معنا رجلا امينا حق (امين) (١) فاستشرف لها اصحاب النبي ﷺ فقال:"قم يا ابا عبيدة بن الجراح" (٢).

(٢) صحيح؛ أخرجه البخاري (٣٧٤٥)، ومسلم (٢٤٢٠).
Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that two priests from Najran came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), named Aqib and Sayyid. Both of them said: "Send with us a person who is completely trustworthy." So the companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to desire this. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Abu Ubaidah! Stand up."

٣٤٤٧٣ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن ابي إسحاق عن صلة عن حذيفة عن النبي ﷺ بنحوه (١).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) صحيح؛ أخرجه البخاري (٤٣٨١)، ومسلم (٢٤٢٥).
The previous statement of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is also transmitted from this chain of narration from Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him).

٣٤٤٧٤ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا الاعمش عن إبراهيم (١) قال عمر: من استخلف لو كان ابو عبيدة بن الجراح (٢).

(١) في [ط، هـ]: زيادة (قال).
(٢) منقطع؛ إبراهيم لم يدرك عمر.
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Whom should I appoint as caliph? If only Abu Ubaidah bin Jarrah were here."

٣٤٤٧٥ - حدثنا ابو معاوية عن سهيل بن ابي صالح عن ابيه قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ:"نعم الرجل ابو عبيدة بن الجراح" (١).

(١) مرسل؛ أبو صالح تابعي، وقد ورد من حديث أبي صالح عن أبي هريرة، أخرجه أحمد (٩٤٢١)، والنسائي (٨٢٣٠)، والترمذي (٣٧٩٥)، وابن حبان (٦٩٩٧)، والحاكم ٣/ ٢٣٣، والبخاري في الأدب المفرد (٣٣٧).
Hazrat Abu Salih (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Abu Ubaidah bin Jarrah (may Allah be pleased with him) is among six persons.
