Narrations Reported Regarding Yemen and Its Virtue

٣٤٦١١ - حدثنا ابو معاوية عن الاعمش عن ابي صالح عن ابي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ:"اتاكم اهل اليمن، هم الين قلوبا وارق افئدة، الإيمان يمان، والحكمة يمانية، وراس الكفر قبل المشرق" (١).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) صحيح؛ أخرجه مسلم (٥٢)، وأحمد (٧٤٣٢)، وبنحوه البخاري (٣٣٠١).
Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: People from Yemen will come to you. They are very gentle at heart. Faith is Yemeni and wisdom is also Yemeni, and the foundation of disbelief is from the direction of the East.

٣٤٦١٢ - حدثنا ابو اسامة عن إسماعيل عن قيس عن ابي مسعود قال: اشار رسول الله ﷺ بيده نحو اليمن فقال:"إن (الإيمان) (١) هاهنا، (و) (٢) ان القسوة وغلظ القلوب في الفدادين، عند اصول اذناب الإبل: في ربيعة ومضر" (٣).

(١) في [هـ]: (اليمن).
(٢) سقط من: [أ، ب، جـ].
(٣) صحيح؛ أخرجه البخاري (٤٣٨٧)، ومسلم (٥١).
Hazrat Abu Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) pointed with his hand towards Yemen and said: Surely, faith is here. Indeed, the hardness of hearts is found among the arrogant owners of camels from the tribes of Rabee'ah and Mudar.

٣٤٦١٣ - حدثنا يحيى بن آدم عن ابي الاحوص عن الاعمش عن ابي سفيان عن جابر قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ:"الإيمان في اهل الحجاز، والقسوة وغلظ القلوب قبل المشرق في ربيعة ومضر" (١).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) حسن؛ أبو سفيان صدوق، أخرجه مسلم (٥٣)، وأحمد (١٤٥٩٥).
Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Faith is among the people of Hijaz, and hardness of hearts is towards the east, among the tribe of Rabi’ah and the tribe of Mudar.

٣٤٦١٤ - حدثنا شريك عن ابي إسحاق عن ابي سلمة قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: الإيمان يمان، والحكمة يمانية، وهم قوم فيهم (حياء) (١) وضعف"، (وربما) (٢) قال:"عي" (٣).

(١) في [س]: (جفاء).
(٢) في [هـ]: (دعاء).
(٣) مرسل؛ أبو سلمة تابعي، وورد من حديث أبي سلمة عن أبي هريرة، أخرجه البخاري (٣٤٩٩)، ومسلم (٥٢).
Hazrat Abu Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Faith is Yemeni and wisdom is also Yemeni. These are the people in whom there is modesty and weakness. And sometimes he said: In whom there is humility.

٣٤٦١٥ - حدثنا (يزيد) (١) بن هارون عن ابن ابي ذئب عن الحارث بن عبد الرحمن عن ابن جبير بن مطعم عن ابيه قال: كنا مع رسول الله ﷺ في مسير له فقال:"يطلع عليكم اهل اليمن كانهم السحاب، هم خير (من في) (٢) الارض"، فقال: رجل من الانصار: إلا نحن يا رسول الله؟ فقال كلمة ضعيفة:"إلا انتم" (٣).

(٣) حسن؛ الحارث بن عبد الرحمن صدوق، أخرجه أحمد (١٦٧٧٩)، وأبو يعلى (٧٤٠١)، وابن أبي عاصم في الآحاد (٢٢٥٨)، والطبراني (١٥٤٩)، والطيالسي (٩٤٥)، والبخاري في التاريخ ٢/ ٢٧٢، والبزار (٣٤٢٨).
Hazrat Jubair bin Mut’im (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that we were on a journey with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: People from Yemen will come to you, as if they are like clouds; they are the best people on earth. Upon this, an Ansari companion (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! But what about us? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (in a soft voice) But you people.

٣٤٦١٦ - حدثنا يزيد بن هارون عن حماد بن سلمة عن جبلة بن عطية عن عبد الله بن عوف الدمشقي (قال: قال) (١) رسول الله ﷺ:"الإيمان يمان في (حدس) (٢) وجذام" (٣).

(١) في [جـ]: (أن).
(٢) في [أ، ب، جـ]: بياض، وفي [ط، م، هـ]: (حندس)، وفي معرفة الصحابة: (خندف).
(٣) مرسل؛ عبد اللَّه بن عوف تابعي، أخرجه أحمد في فضائل الصحابة (١٦٢١)، وابن أبي عاصم في الآحاد (٢٢٨٧)، وأبو نعيم في معرفة الصحابة (٤٤١١)، والطبراني كما في الإصابة ٥/ ٢٠٣، وابن الأثير في أسد الغابة (٣/ ٣٦٦).
Hazrat Abdullah bin Auf Damishqi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Faith is Yemeni, among the people of Khindif and Juzam.

٣٤٦١٧ - حدثنا يحيى بن (ابي) (١) (بكير) (٢) عن شعبة عن عبد الله إمام عمرو بن مرة عن عمرو بن مرة عن خيثمة قال: سئل رسول الله ﷺ اي الناس خير؟ فقال:"اهل اليمن" (٣).

(٣) مرسل مجهول؛ خيثمة تابعي، وعبد اللَّه مجهول، أخرجه أحمد في الفضائل (١٦٥٢).
Hazrat Khaythamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that it was asked from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): Who are the best people? So he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The people of Yemen.

٣٤٦١٨ - حدثنا عبيد الله عن إسرائيل عن ابي إسحاق عن قيس بن ابي حازم قال: قال عبد الله: الإيمان يمان (١).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) صحيح.
Hazrat Qais bin Abi Hazim (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Faith is Yemeni.

٣٤٦١٩ - حدثنا وكيع عن عكرمة بن عمار عن سالم عن ابن عمر قال: خرج رسول الله ﷺ من بيت عائشة فقال:"راس الكفر هاهنا من حيث تطلع قرن الشيطان"، -يعني المشرق (١).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) صحيح؛ عكرمة ثقة في غير يحيى، أخرجه البخاري (٣٥١١)، ومسلم (٢٩٠٥).
Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out from the house of Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), the Mother of the Believers, and said: "The foundation of disbelief is from here, where the horns of Satan rise, that is, from the East."
