One Who Takes Polytheists to Jihad and Allocates a Share for Them

٣٥٣٧٥ - حدثنا حفص بن غياث عن ابن جريج عن الزهري ان رسول الله ﷺ غزا بناس من اليهود فاسهم لهم (١).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) مرسل؛ الزهري تابعي، أخرجه أبو داود في المراسيل (٢٨٢)، والبيهقي ٩/ ٥٣، وبنحوه الترمذي (١٥٥٨)، والضياء (٢٦٢١).
Imam Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) states that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) took some people from among the Jews to participate in jihad, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also granted them a share.

٣٥٣٧٦ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا سفيان عن ابن جريج عن الزهري ان النبي ﷺ كان يغزو باليهود فيسهم لهم كسهام المسلمين (١).

(١) مرسل؛ الزهري تابعي.
Imam Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) states that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to take the Jews along for jihad and would allocate shares for them just as he did for the Muslims.

٣٥٣٧٧ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا سفيان عن يزيد بن يزيد بن جابر عن الزهري قال: كان النبي ﷺ يغزو باليهود فيسهم لهم (١).

(١) مرسل؛ الزهري تابعي، أخرجه سعيد بن منصور ١/ (٢٧٩٠)، وأبو داود في المراسيل (٢٨١)، وابن الجوزي في التحقيق (١٨٧٤).
Imam Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) states that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to take the Jews along for jihad, and then he would also grant them a share from the spoils of war.

٣٥٣٧٨ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا الحسن بن صالح عن الشيباني ان سعد بن مالك غزا (بقوم) (١) من اليهود فرضخ لهم (٢).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) في [أ، ب]: (بناس).
(٢) منقطع؛ الشيباني لا يروي عن سعد، أخرجه البيهقي ٩/ ٣٧.
Hazrat Shaibani (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Sa’d bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) took some Jews with him for jihad, and then he also gave them a small amount of wealth.

٣٥٣٧٩ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا سفيان عن جابر قال: سالت عامرا عن المسلمين (يغزون باهل الكتاب؟ فقال عامر: ادركت الائمة الفقيه منهم وغير الفقيه) (١) يغزون باهل الذمة فيقسمون لهم ويضعون عنهم (من) (٢) جزيتهم، فذلك لهم نفل حسن.

(٢) سقط من: [هـ].
Hazrat Jabir (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that I asked Hazrat Amir (may Allah have mercy on him) about those Muslims who take the People of the Book along for jihad? Hazrat Amir (may Allah have mercy on him) replied: I found both the jurist and non-jurist Imams that they too would take the dhimmis along for jihad. Then they would also distribute the spoils of war among them. And they would waive the jizya from them, and this was as an additional favor for them.

٣٥٣٨٠ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا إسرائيل عن جابر عن عامر قال: ادركت الائمة -ثم ذكر نحوه.
Hazrat Jabir (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Amir (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I found the Imams. Then he (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned the aforementioned hadith.
